After the hot water boiler is stopped for cooling, thoroughly remove the ash deposits on the heating surface and the ash and slag on the upper part of the grate and the lower part of the furnace body.

Keep the flue with certain natural ventilation. In general, in order to prevent moisture, desiccant should be placed in the furnace and flue. If quicklime is used as a desiccant, it is necessary to place about 3kg of quicklime per cubic meter of furnace or flue, and all ventilation doors should be tightly closed after placing. Quicklime needs to be replaced when it turns pink. If the boiler room is located in a low-lying position and the ground floods seriously during the shutdown period, a combination of frequent low-fire baking and placement of desiccant should be adopted. If the boiler has been shut down for a long time, apply anti-corrosion paint on the outer metal surface of the furnace body after completely removing the soot.

As for the anti-corrosion maintenance method of the furnace shutdown, it should be determined according to the length of the shutdown time. Under normal circumstances, wet maintenance can be used for no more than one month of shutdown, and dry maintenance should be adopted for more than one month. Wet maintenance is suitable for electric hot water boilers with a shutdown period of less than one month. After the shutdown period, the boiler water is released, drained and filled with clean water, cut off the power supply, and close the valve.
Dry maintenance means that after the furnace is stopped, the furnace water is released, the dirt in the furnace is washed clean, the furnace is dried with a small fire of the burner, and then all the boiler gas is exhausted, and all the pipeline valves are closed, every three months. Check once.
